Patch Foraging (Explore–Exploit)
Participants harvest depleting reward patches (e.g., trees yielding apples at a diminishing rate) and choose on each step whether to keep exploiting the current patch or pay a travel cost to move on. Patch-leaving times, compared against the marginal value theorem's optimal threshold, index explore–exploit balance and sensitivity to opportunity cost.
