Composite Face Task

The top half of one face is aligned with the bottom half of another, creating a fused 'composite' that is processed holistically when upright. Participants judge whether the top (or bottom) halves of two composites are the same, with misalignment and inversion as manipulations that break holistic processing. Canonical paradigm for measuring configural / holistic face perception.
