Language Aptitude

Battery-style tasks estimating a learner’s capacity to acquire a new language. Participants are taught the vocabulary and grammar of an artificial or unfamiliar language in a short session, then tested via translation, rule application, or production. Standard instrument: Carroll & Sapon’s Modern Language Aptitude Test (MLAT).
