Give-N Task

Experimenter asks the child to place exactly N objects (e.g., 'Give me three fish') in a container, varying N across trials. Canonical assessment of early-childhood number-word knowledge; performance classifies children as 'one-knowers', 'two-knowers', 'three-knowers', 'four-knowers', or 'cardinal-principle knowers'.
